CURRENT SUPPORT CAMPAIGN
LAST YEAR,
WE WERE SITTING PRETTY.
Despite the fact that we rely solely on our audiences
support(through ticket sales as well as our fund-raisers and donations)we
had become one of Austin’s most fiscally independent theaters.
We don’t ask for a cut of your tax money, because we’d
prefer to know that we exist because our audience wants us to exist.
THEN, WE WERE BIT IN OUR BEHINDS.
The day after Christmas 2004, our building was burglarized,causing
loss and damage totalling more than $12,000.(In perspective, we’d
have to sell more than 600 tickets at $20 a ticketwithout spending
a single dime to catch up.)
OR, WE CAN SELL OUR SEATS!
For a donation of $100, $200, or $300, one of our theater
chairs will be marked with an engraved plaque bearing your name -
or event your business’ name, forever allowing the other audience
members to knowjust how generous and thoughtful you have been to Arts
On Real.
